Reflection…
It’s nice every so often to look back. I know we’re told to leave the past behind and look forward. I get that it’s what serves us best. Today, however, I find myself reflecting on the past. You see, Logisoft has been in business for 35 years now. I can’t help but look back in this moment!
Logisoft was founded by Rob Lamy 35 years ago. I joined 2 years later in June of 1991 and helped form the public sector software line of business, which remains as the core of the company today. As I look back, I’m grateful for the opportunity given to me to be a part of all of this. I have learned so much. Hard work, taking chances, making mistakes, but no regrets.
When I joined Logisoft, many of our core values were already put in place by our founder, Rob. The foundation? Relationships: initiating them, building them, nurturing them, and NEVER EVER taking them for granted. (I just saved you hundreds of dollars in buying books on a successful business because that’s the key.) And it is THAT simple.
So here Logisoft is today… 35 years in. I have seen many companies come and go around us. Much of what has made us successful I’ve previously mentioned. What I’m most proud of is the relationships we have established over the years. Relationships with employees, customers, manufacturers. The list is long. A community in Education and the sharing of so much evolving information. I am in awe of how we have made it through this changing world of technology.
As we look ahead, I am more energized today than any other time with this company, including when I came aboard. Our passion here at Logisoft is to help schools navigate through technology together. To deliver the mission of making resources available for students to succeed in their future. I think that truly sets us apart. There are many other good companies out there… but they want to sell. We however want our customers to succeed, and we spend the extra time to try and get to KNOW them. Knowing what is important to them. Then working to try and help them as we navigate through this world of technology.
Ultimately, as I reflect on 35 years, Logisoft stands alone. We’re always here. We answer calls live. We respond quickly. We give accurate and critically important information to help schools make decisions. We’re competitive on price. And we care.
That’s all I’ve ever wanted to deliver. Every day I want to deliver the best experience possible. As I reflect, I am happy, but never satisfied. I am hungry to deliver more and better all the time, just as I know our schools are always looking to deliver better for our kids and their future.
